This intriguing quality allows for varied visual experiences depending on the lighting, whether viewed with frontal light or backlighting, providing endless creative possibilities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Ruben\u2019s artistic process incorporates elements of engraving and texture, utilizing the natural veins and colors<\/strong> inherent in the alabaster to enhance his paintings. He describes these materials as “alive,”<\/strong> allowing their characteristics to inspire his work. This exhibition beautifully blends painting and sculpture, perfectly aligning with our passion for natural materials<\/strong>, particularly the alabaster sourced from the Centro Integral para el Desarrollo del Alabastro (CIDA) in Albalate del Arzobispo in Spain.<\/p>\n

Hailing from Alca\u00f1iz and resident at CIDA in 2023 and 2024, Ruben previously showcased his work in a successful exhibition at Subtile Gallery in Luxembourg three years ago. His technical expertise, honed during his studies in Florence, contributes to his status as a fabulous figurative painter with remarkable sensitivity.<\/p>\n

“I also studied engraving and with the punch, alabaster allows you to bring out light, make textures, you can even give it relief”<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
